Gesture controls can be enabled or disabled via the app.

What exactly is a twist?

Twist should be a fairly rapid flick of the wrist to rotate the hilt about 45 degrees to the required side, then back to centre. 

Power on: Hold the activation button for ~2 seconds until the voice prompt says "power on"

BLADE OFF

Ignition: 

  1. Press the activation button, or

  2. Twist clockwise (if enabled), or

  3. swing the saber (if enabled), or

  4. pull back then thrust forward (if enabled)

Adjust Volume: Hold the activation button for 1 flash/beep (0.5 seconds)

Change Blade Effect: Hold the activation button for 2 flashes/beeps (1 second)

Change Ignition Effect: Hold the activation button for 3 flashes/beeps (1.5 seconds)

Previous Font: Hold the activation button for 4 flashes/beeps (2 second)

Next Font: Angle the hilt downwards and twist counterclockwise

Play Music: Angle the hilt upwards and twist counterclockwise. 

Stop Music: Angle the hilt upwards and twist counterclockwise.

Change Music: Stop then play music to move to the next track.

Pixel/RGB mode: If the saber has been ignited, wait at least 10 seconds before proceeding. Hold the activation button for ~13 seconds.

BLADE ON

Retraction:

  1. Hold the activation button until it begins retracting, or

  2. Twist clockwise (if enabled)

  3. Push forward then pull back (if enabled)

Smooth Swing: Move the hilt around

Spin: Spin or move the hilt quickly

Flash on Clash: Hit the saber/blade

Blaster Block: Press the activation button

Multi Block Mode: Hold the activation button and swing the saber quickly. You will hear a voice say "Enter Multi Block Mode". Repeat the action to exit the mode. 
When enabled, swing the saber quickly as if deflecting blaster shots, blaster sounds will be heard.

Lock Up: Hold the activation button and clash the hilt/blade. Press the button again to exit

Multi Lock Mode: While in lock up, hold the activation button for 1 flash/beep (0.5 seconds). You will hear a voice say "Enter Multi Lock Mode". Press the button to exit the current lock. Clashing the blade will now cause a lock effect. pressing the button will end the effect. this is repeatable. To exit the mode, enter a lock up state, and hold the activation button for 1 flash/beep (0.5 seconds)

Force Effect: Angle the hilt upwards, hold the activation button and twist clockwise

Lightning Block: Hold the activation button and pull backwards in line with the hilt/blade

Stab Effect: Thrust the hilt forward in the direction of the blade

Melt Effect: Hold the activation button and thrust forward. Twist to change colour

Drag Effect: Hold the activation button for 1 flash/beep (0.5 seconds)

Infinite Colour Cycle: Hold the activation button for 2 flashes/beeps (1 seconds). Press the button again to save the current colour

Preset Colour Cycle: Angle the hilt downwards, hold the activation button and twist counterclockwise. Press the button again to save the current colour.

Manual Colour Cycle: Angle the hilt downwards, hold the activation button and twist clockwise. Release the button and rotate the hilt to change colours. press the button to select a colour.

Power off: Hold the activation button for ~10 seconds until the voice prompt says "power off". Note: You can also power the saber off when the blade is off within 10 seconds of it being retracted, however this will first change the current sound font.

Reduced volume menu items. The lightsaber defaults to loud volume and the power on sound can be too loud for many environments. On our personal sabers we edited a couple of the sound files so that they were much quieter, even when the saber was at max volume. You can download these and overwrite your files with them to achieve the same thing.
